HOMES FOR THE PEOPLE: EXPLORING INEQUALITIES IN ACCESS TO HOUSING

Please join the us for an academic seminar including presentations and discussion about housing policies and redevelopments in North America. Dr. David Hulchanski (Professor of Housing and Community Development in the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work) and Dr. Shauna Brail (Director of the Urban Studies Experiential Learning Program and Senior Lecturer) will present their key ideas and findings about the effectiveness of housing redevelopments in North America. This will facilitate a critical conversation about the current strengths and weaknesses of mixed income housing redevelopments, and how to apply these ideas to foster change and reduce inequalities. Light refreshments will be provided.
