Jane’s Walk, one of the best ways to learn about your city for free, is coming up this weekend in Toronto! There are dozens of walks taking place on Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th, around various neighbourhoods in the downtown core and in the GTA. The annual event takes place internationally and was inspired by the urbanist Jane Jacobs, author of The Death and Life of Great American Cities. This year’s line-up of walks includes two by past URSSU seminar speakers, Paul Bedford and Dylan Reid:
- King and Spadina: One of The Two Kings Guided by: Margie Zeidler & Paul Bedford, Saturday, May 4th at 10:00 AM
- Pedestrian infrastructure and issues: Bloor-Yorkville Guided by: Dylan Reid, Sunday, May 5th at 11:00 AM
Check out the Jane’s Walk website here for many more walks happening across the city.
