Welcome to the URSSU blog! We hope that whether you’re a frosh, newly in the program, or an urban studies veteran that you have the chance to meet us and come to some of our events this year.
The best thing about being a small program and union is that we have the opportunity to actually make what people want happen. Always wanted to meet a certain urban expert and talk transit/economics/architecture/whatever with them? Tell us and we’ll invite them to a seminar. Curious about attending a cool urban-focused event but don’t know anyone else going? We’ll put together a group. We’re here to create a space for like-minded individuals: those who are fascinated by cities and all they offer.
We will be establishing regular office hours for people to drop in and visit, talk about urban-related classes at U of T, or bring up any ideas or concerns – so check the website later for that. Our office is in the main Innis building, just past the Innis Cafe in Room 107. In the meantime, feel free to get in touch by email (it’s firstname.lastname@example.org). See you soon.
